Academic Year 2024-2025
The Battle Plan contains all of OSG's proposed plans and accomplishments for the year.
The document gives an in-depth perspective of OSG's inner workings.
In harmony with existing structures, the Admin Arm embodies conscious organization design characterized by deliberate, well-communicated, streamlined processes and tools.
These facilitate seamless data flow and documentation, enabling the generation of insightful recommendations based on conscientious data collection.
1) User-Centric Process Design (UCPD)
2) Long-Term Sustainability
Reduction of System Blackholes
One common sentiment from members is the difficult navigation from one CODE tool to another—creating this impression that tools are isolated from one another.
Hence, in all dynamic, developmental GSheets tools, two pages will be added: (1) landing page, and (2) link directory.
Increased Delineation between Communication Channels
Implementation of Intuitive and Direct Shorthand Links
Another prevalent issue that plagued CODE links was the inefficient use of the Link Shortener.
Although the shortened link would use the ‘ateneocode.org’ domain, a significant portion of the links would use the word ‘CODE’ twice in the link or unnecessarily spell out full names or titles of files—hence defeating the ‘convenience’ of shortening the link.
The initiative provides a more role-specific onboarding on Admin Roles and Responsibilities in specific settings (engagement, project teams, etc.)—allowing a more targeted approach to the use cases.
This onboarding was conducted with RecWeek SEC, First-Sem Admins, and Mock Admins. Additionally, a direct line of communication was established with Admins through a Messenger GC.
Visual Data Reports will be produced from the Data Collected and summarize attendees, sign-ups, general sentiment, best practices, etc.
Given the large data collected from projects, the CODE Dashboard will centralize the production of reports from these events and will be posted on the Facebook Group and the CODE Nest.
These reports will contain information from Project Reports such as attendance, team practices, improvements from the previous year, etc.
The OSG's first umbrella projects to formalize its efforts to protect the organization and its members' data.
In July: Safeguard files from permanent deletion following the OBF Transfer
In August: Selective and Intentional sharing of CODE Tools and Resources (Google Contacts for easy group sharing)
Given the missing features of Google Drive, AutoCreate allows CODErs to easily make kits with a Google Sheet request.
AutoCreate is a TOOL that allows CODErs to duplicate GDrive Folders with ease—avoiding the download, reupload, and loss of GForm and Shortcut Files.
Where will it be used? It can be utilized for setting up team kits (engagement, projects, APT, etc).
Benefits of using AutoCreate include duplication of GDrive Shortcuts, duplication of Google Form Files, duplication of folders in bulk, and retention of Google Sheet as a GSheet and not an Excel file.
The Office of the Secretary-General is developing a CODE Dictionary to provide all CODErs access to a glossary of terms—similar to an Urban Dictionary—where acronyms, contractions (combined words), and terms specific to CODE's context are properly defined.
Modifications of the Previous Blast Protocols:
In this iteration, approval happens before scheduling.
CODErs (Engagement Admins, Project Teams, Frontliners) are given moderator access to schedule a post.
The sheet for Internal and External Blasting were structured as a Request Table—similar to Zoom and the Link Shortener—and were used more consistently.
Given the limited storage and access that exists in Google Drive, the archival of artifacts and pubmats will be stored on the CODE Nest—to allow future CODErs to have a glimpse of CODE a couple years back!
